Toyota Recall

On January 21st 2010 the major car company Toyota had to recall many of their vehicle's. The problem that they were having was dealing with the accelerator. The problem with them are rare instances the accelerator would stick when you press it. The reason the accelerators got stuck were because over time you wear out the accelerator and then it builds up friction so when u press it down it will stay down. The company has said that there is 2.3 million cars that are recalled. The list of cars that were recalled were: 2009- 10 Corolla, 09-10 Matrix, 07-10 Camry, 05-10 Avalon, 09-10 RAV4, 2010 Highlander, 07-10 Tundra, and the 08-10 Sequoia. Toyota when asked what to do if you accelerator does stick while driving you need to take you foot off of the accelerator and put the car in neutral and that will stop you from accelerating and you will be able to use your breaks. After stopped reach down and try and pull the accelerator up. When Toyota was asked how many vehicle's were involved in a car accident because of this problem Toyota could not give any answer. Many fear that their car as well may suffer from this recall and nothing will be done about it. Hopefully soon toyota will get their act together and start making safer more reliable cars.
